Susan S. Lee

About me.​

 

I am a Korean-American graphic designer and abstract artist based in Los Angeles. I have worked for over 25 years in social justice in DC, NYC, and LA, on systems change efforts in issues ranging from public education reform to youth development to community development to  health care to  housing and homelessness. 

​

My design work explores the impacts of social justice and race equity. I believe in bringing color and freedom into people’s lives, literally and figuratively.  My work is influenced by the colors and strokes of Korean, Black, African and Native American art, as well as abstract expressionism and graffiti art. 

 

I believe art and design are powerful vehicles to foster empathy and healing of individual and collective trauma.
